A new report has been released to guide the transition of European regions from a linear to a circular bioeconomy. The Joint Policy Recommendations for the Transition to Circular Bioeconomy in EU Regions and Cities present key actions for policymakers at EU and national levels to enable a sustainable and circular future.
Developed under the leadership of the BIOTRANSFORM project, with the active collaboration of SUSTRACK, ROBIN, and BIOMODEL4REGIONS, the recommendations address regulatory, economic, and technical aspects essential for enabling change. They build on evidence gathered from the projects’ pilot areas, highlighting real challenges and opportunities across Europe.
